Clayton Thornton
Clayton Thornton, originally from Summerville, South Carolina, now resides in New York City and recently began his professional journey in the financial services industry. As a 2013 graduate of The Citadel with a degree in Business, Clayton earned a Division I scholarship to run track, showcasing the dedication and discipline that continue to define his career.
He began his professional path as a tax accountant from 2015 to 2017, preparing personal and business returns. He then spent six years at Herrick Feinstein LLP, where he served as an Accounts Receivable Specialist from 2018 to 2024. In 2025, Clayton joined Strategies, drawn by the firm’s strong emphasis on training and professional development—an essential factor for him as he transitions into this new field. He was also impressed by the welcoming and supportive nature of the team.
Clayton is passionate about helping people make informed financial decisions that enhance their quality of life and positively influence those around them. He is active in his Catholic parish’s food drive and values community service and connection. In his personal time, Clayton enjoys music, sports, reading, writing, and spending time with animals.
