Financial Advising & Leadership Program At Strategies for Wealth, we believe in being part of something bigger than yourself. We are a full-service financial firm founded over 85 years ago, and are seeking a group of highly talented, ambitious, and coachable rising college seniors to take part in our Financial Advising & Leadership Summer Program 2024 from June 10th - August 2nd.The Financial Advising & Leadership Summer Program is a paid experience (virtual or in-person depending on up to date COVID protocols) where a carefully selected cohort will learn what it’s like to develop a career in financial planning at a top firm, with over 9 billion in assets administered, 60 thousand clients, and a 70% 5-year retention rate for financial professionals compared to the industry average of 13%.Cohort members will also take part in training designed to spur their overall professional and leadership development. Each of the 8 weeks has a specific theme that cohort members will engage in through speakers, individual research, assigned reading/listening materials, and activities designed to strengthen their knowledge of each topic. The themes are as follows: Mission & PurposeNetworking/ProspectingLife & Disability InsuranceInvestmentsPlanning for Business OwnersEstate PlanningEntrepreneurial MindsetCapstone Project The last of the 8 weeks will culminate in a capstone project, where cohort members will take all that they learned over the course of the summer, perform their own research, and craft a presentation on a topic of their choice. This project is designed to highlight the independence, creativity, research skills, and technical knowledge of financial concepts that cohort members have developed over 7 weeks. At the end of the summer, program cohort members will be invited to continue taking part in Strategies for Wealth training and other development activities. They will also have the opportunity to be considered for a position at the firm as a full-time financial representative, following graduation and successful completion of the program.
